The latest project handled by Westlink Logistics in Australia involved ammonia flow control units (AFCUs) transported to several locations in the USA for various power industry projects.
Westlink's scope of work included project management, operational supervision & coordination, ocean freight, cranage, transportation to site, customs and quarantine clearance.
The multimodal (air, sea & road) transportation was safely and successfully completed due to Westlink expertise and continuous management of shipping and trucking schedules to meet the changing project requirements.
Alex Cecchi (Business and Operations Coordinator) comments; "We managed to reduce costs and time for this project by shipping the over-dimensional cargo on conventional container lines. This successful first delivery for our client has resulted in the awarding of further contracts for similar scopes of work".
