Westlink Logistics Manage Transport of Earth Moving Machines

Westlink Logistics have recently managed the international transportation of 7 second-hand earth moving machines along with their miscellaneous equipment from Fremantle in Australia to Lyttelton in New Zealand on behalf of their client for an irrigation project.

The machines were 5 excavators, a loader, and a grader along with 2 vacuum lift sets and other equipment. Westlink handled the road haulage, ocean freight, operations coordination, project management, pre-load cleaning program, quarantine risk management, HSEQ management, customs procedures and quarantine clearance.

The machines were loaded and discharged with a roll-on / roll-off operation as shown in the gallery below.

The Westlink operations team coordinated the project from start to finish and the multimodal delivery of all cargo was performed successfully, on time and on budget with no issues.
