Darka Assigned a BIC Container Code

Darka for Trading & Services are pleased to announce they have been assigned a certificate of registration of a container code from the Bureau International des Containers et du Transport Intermodal (BIC).

"In accordance with ISO Standard 6346, Customs Conventions and BIC Registration terms, The Bureau International des Containers hereby certifies that the BIC Code 'DAKU' has been duly registered by BIC and assigned to Darka for Trading & Services Co Ltd (Certificate No. DAKU-1416).

The registered code will only apply for containers owned/operated by Darka for Trading & Services Co Ltd and currently remains valid until 15th March 2017. In January 2017, a renewal notice will be issued.

Freight container prefix registration with BIC is required by ISO standard 6346 and by the National Customs Administrations according to both the Customs Convention on Containers (CCC-1972, revised 2008) and the Istanbul Convention (1990, revised 2010). This grants the benefits of free circulation and temporary admission for containers displaying the owner's code registered with BIC. Please see www.bic-code.org for more information."
